Solution

We developed a modular, dynamic branding system inspired by the concept of forking—splitting and evolving ideas within the Web3 space. The visual identity features bold, glitch-inspired typography, contrasting digital patterns, and a vivid color palette to reflect the disruptive nature of blockchain technology.

To support the community-driven approach, we created open-source design templates and visual guidelines, empowering ETHLatam and ETHMedellin community members to generate their own assets without sacrificing brand cohesion. The adaptable framework allowed for creative interpretation while maintaining visual consistency across event materials, digital platforms, and social media.

Challenge

The challenge was to create an identity that embraced the open-source ethos while being robust enough to maintain consistency across various decentralized touchpoints. The identity needed to be flexible, allowing community members to easily customize and remix assets while retaining a unified aesthetic. It also had to appeal to a diverse audience of blockchain developers, innovators, and Web3 enthusiasts.
